What's Happening in PVSD?

  • Update Regarding Reopening of Schools 11/20/2020

PVSD administration spent the last two weeks collaborating with our Parent, Teacher, and Community Advisories, executive leadership of the Camarillo Council of PTAs, our Teachers’ Association (PVEA), and campus and department leadership on clear metrics that are specific to PVSD for the closing and reopening of our schools, which the School Board provided direction on at our regular monthly meeting on November 19th, 2020. It is our hope that these metrics provide our staff and community clarity around when schools would close and reopen based on the science and local data. You can view the approved metrics in this week’s update, along with other important district news. We wish our entire community a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are grateful for our students, faculty, staff, and community and how well we have come together during this difficult time.

  • PVSD Safe Reopening and Recovery Plan (Updated 10/15/2020)

The PVSD School Board approved our Safe Reopening and Recovery Plan for fall 2020 at the special board meeting held on July 30, 2020. The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Over 100 stakeholders representing parents, teachers, staff, and leadership worked together in partnership to prepare this comprehensive plan in line with local, county, state, and federal guidance. This plan is a "living document" which will adapt to changing guidelines and laws as necessary in order to maintain compliance.

It gives me great honor to present the 2020 PVSD annual report. PVSD’ s vision of Excellence for All is lived every day in our district by our students, teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and community members. The collective responsibility of our community ensures we provide our scholars a world-class education. Included within our report is information about PVSD and our eleven outstanding schools, key performance measures rooted in the goals set in our Strategic Plan, and data for areas we will use to guide future improvement. ~Dr. Ramsey
