The PVSD School Board approved our Safe Reopening and Recovery Plan for fall 2020 at the special board meeting held on July 30, 2020.
PVSD’s Digital Learning Academy (DLA) is a program for families who desire to remain in a distance learning format for the duration of the 20-21 school year. The program will mirror the instructional content being offered in the traditional modified model and will be instructed by PVSD teachers.
PVSD 6-8 Science Pilot team has completed their materials pilot and is recommending the adoption of Amplify science curriculum for middle school in the 2020-21 school year. The presentation provides an overview of the process and comparison of the programs piloted.
We are still accepting enrollment for your child for our 2020-21 school year. Please use this enrollment link that has the directions for you to successfully navigate the enrollment process.
With the 20-21 school year set to begin in 3 weeks, I will be sending out my annual "Welcome Back" letter next week, both here on our website and through our Parent Connect program, filled with specific information about our Distance Learning Program. As a public school, Las Posas provides all regularly needed school supplies. You can help us extend our program and enhance the products students create in class with the following items. Las Posas School has been named an Honor Roll school for the 2018-2019 California Honor Roll presented by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE). The 2018-2019 Honor Roll recognizes public elementary, middle, and high schools that demonstrate consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps.
