The PVSD School Board approved our Safe Reopening and Recovery Plan for fall 2020 at the special board meeting held on July 30, 2020.
PVSD’s Digital Learning Academy (DLA) is a program for families who desire to remain in a distance learning format for the duration of the 20-21 school year. The program will mirror the instructional content being offered in the traditional modified model and will be instructed by PVSD teachers.
PVSD 6-8 Science Pilot team has completed their materials pilot and is recommending the adoption of Amplify science curriculum for middle school in the 2020-21 school year. The presentation provides an overview of the process and comparison of the programs piloted.
Starting June 18th meals will be available at the PVSEA location, Mondays and Thursdays from 11am-1pm. Monday meals will include three days worth of breakfast and lunch per child; Thursday meals include two days worth of breakfast and lunch per child. Any child 18 and under can receive free meals; no eligibility is required. For questions, please call 805-445-8679.

Report cards will be posted in Q Parent Connect on June 17th. Based on the requirements by the California Department of Education and our PVSD grading policy during distance learning, your child will receive a participation grade based on work completion. Since we could not properly assess a student's mastery of standards, you will find slash marks in the boxes for each standard. To determine a student's level of participation teachers collected data on assignment completion addressed in the comment section along with the standards addressed during distance learning.
