I grew up in a town very similar to Camarillo, called San Juan Capistrano-attending public school through the twelfth grade. I went to UCLA for college and majored in Math and Engineering. In fact, I thought I was going to be an engineer, but I fell in love with teaching and here I am 20+ years later and I've never regretted it. Bruin blue and gold are my favorite colors. I am married and have one son and one daughter. During my free time I like to play badminton, study the weather, SCUBA dive, and read the newspaper. But, one of my favorite things to do in my free time is fly airplanes. This summer, I spent a lot of time learning how to fly in clouds with just the instruments. In fact, I acheived one of my most challenging goals by attaining my Instrument Ground Instructor rating. I also have an Advanced Grount Instructors rating that allows me to do ground instruction using a flight simulator. The picture above is me in my brother’s airplane. He’s a pilot too. You will notice that we have flight simulators in the classroom. That is for those of you who want to join the aviation club and learn how to fly. The Aviation Club will be starting soon, so stay tuned for an announcement on that. One final thing you should know about me is that I love being a teacher because every day is different and I enjoy seeing my students learn. I also learn from my students. Of course, I think it is important to have fun along the way too. I look forward to getting to know all of you as well.
