  • Weekly Update of 4-22-19 to 4-26-19

    Instructional Focus: The focus this week will be preparing for the CAASPP exam.  Third through eighth grade students will be reviewing this week and we will be taking the practice test throughout the week.

    CAASPP Testing: CAASPP testing will take place May 6-May 16.  During these ten days, it is extremely important for third through eighth grade students to attend school.  This is the most important time of the year.  Please help to make sure your child is ready to do his or her best on the test.  Make-ups will continue to May 26. 

    Art Trek Night:  The PTO is Sponsoring Art Trek Night on April 25.  It is a night for all the family to explore art using STEAM principles. We hope to see many families and students there.

    Blood Drive: SRTMS will be hosting a blood drive on May 14 from 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM.  Let’s show the community our Eagle Pride.  We will have the bloodmobile in the parking lot for your convenience.  To make an appointment, please visit blood4life.org using sponsor code: 8807 or call 805.543.4290.  

    Bananarama Run: The PVSD Bananarama Run is back again this year.  This is a running event for the whole family.  There is a 5k for adults, a one-mile race for students, and a 1k for the little runners.  We hope to have a large number of students participate.  Go to: www.bananaramarun.com .

    Girl Scout Troop Collections:  We have two Girl Scout Troop collections happening after Spring Break.  First, Troop 65306 is collecting books for the First Five program.  Donated books need to be picture books or books for those children age of five or younger.  The second collection is for Troop 65393.  They will be collecting unwanted towels and blanket of animals at the animal shelter.  Please make sure to wash the towels and blankets.  There will be collection boxes for both service projects out in front of the school after Spring Break.

    Principal’s Coffee: Principal’s Coffee will be taking place on Friday at 8:20 AM in the MPR.  Please send in any questions by Wednesday.
