  • 2022 CLASSIFICATION STUDY UPDATE

The Classified Human Resources Department is conducting a classification study. The study will be conducted in phases with an emphasis on updating position descriptions and reviewing classifications most impacted by the California Minimum Wage increase.

As part of this study, all classified employees were invited to complete a Google survey addressing any deviations between their current job descriptions and work performed. Employees have also been given the opportunity to meet by Zoom to discuss any concerns.

The first phase of the study is complete, with job families most impacted by the minimum wage increase and benchmark positions that fell below the comparison average rectified.

As part of the study, job descriptions are being reviewed and updated to include common language and service goals identified by the District.

Compensation recommendations are subject to negotiations, Personnel Commission and Board approval.
