The application form is the first step in the recruitment process. It is essential that you provide all of the requested information on the application form and any supplemental information that may be required (as noted in the job posting). Please make sure you read the recruitment announcement and submit all of the requested information. Failure to do so may result in the disqualification of your application.
IMPORTANT: Resumes may be attached as a supplement to your PVSD application. DO NOT USE "SEE ATTACHED RESUME" IN LIEU OF COMPLETING ANY PORTION OF THE APPLICATION.
If the job posting indicates a keyboard or 10-key certificate is required, you may scan a copy of the original as an attachment to your application. However, you will need to submit the original certificate to the Classified Human Resources staff for verification prior to taking the written exam. SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE: Some positions may require you to complete and submit a supplemental questionnaire. Supplemental questionnaires are a part of the testing process and failure to submit a supplemental questionnaire could result in your disqualification from the recruitment. If a supplemental questionnaire is required, it will be listed in the job posting.
CONVICTION REPORT: As part of the application process, you are required to report any and all convictions or current charges for a crime, no matter when they may have occurred. A conviction will not automatically prevent you from being considered for hire - falsification of your application, by not reporting or inaccurately reporting, will prevent you from being considered for any employment in PVSD.
REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR THE DISABLED: Individuals with disabilities requiring reasonable accommodation in the testing process must inform the Pleasant Valley School District Classified Human Resources Office in writing no later than the final filing date stated on the job announcement. Applicants in need of such accommodations should document the request and include an explanation of the type and extent of accommodation needed to participate in the testing process.
