Board Meetings


    The Pleasant Valley School District Board of Education regular meetings are currently held by teleconference where one or more members of the Board will be attending the meeting via teleconference/video conference.

    The Governor has declared a State of Emergency to exist in California as a result of the threat of COVID-19 (aka the “Coronavirus”).  The Governor issued Executive Order N-25-20, which directs Californians to follow public health directives including canceling large gatherings.  The Executive Order also allows local legislative bodies to hold meetings via conference calls while still satisfying state transparency requirements.  The Governor has also issued Executive Order N-33-20, prohibiting people from leaving their homes or places of residence except to access necessary supplies and services or to engage in specified critical infrastructure employment.

    The Public’s health and well-being are the top priority for the Board of Trustees (“Board”) of Pleasant Valley School District (“District”) and you are urged to take all appropriate health safety precautions. In order to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the City Hall Chambers will not be open to the public. Although there will be no physical location to attend the meetings, there are a variety of ways the public is encouraged to view and participate in PVSD Board meetings. 

    Regular Board Meetings - Community members may observe meetings via televised live on the Local Government Channels – Spectrum Channel 10 and Frontier Channel 29 or via livestream of audio on our PVSD website main page or by utilizing the streaming player below.  Audio streams are live during the scheduled meeting time only. Members of the public may observe and provide public comments at the PVSEA EEC MPR located at 550 Temple Ave., Camarillo, CA 93010.

    Special Board Meetings - via livestream of audio at Members of the public may observe and provide public comments at the PVSD District Office located at 600 Temple Ave., Camarillo, CA 93010.

    Public comments will be taken in person at the scheduled location.  Please see the agenda for details. If members of the public would like to speak about an item on the agenda, a Speaker Sheet should be completed giving the number of the agenda item, or if wishing to speak to an item not on the agenda, stating the topic on which they wish to speak.  The sheet should be presented to the executive assistant prior to the start of the meeting or prior to the start of the Public Comments section of the agenda.  Individual speakers will be allowed three minutes to address the Board.  If a member of the public would like an item placed on the agenda, please contact the District Office.  In accordance with Education Code 35145.5, the Board cannot enter into a formal discussion or make a decision on any matter not on this agenda during this meeting.  The Board may take action to refer any subject discussed in a presentation at this Board meeting to a later meeting.  A complete agenda packet is available for review at the District Office, 600 Temple Avenue, Camarillo, CA Monday through Thursday prior to a Regular Board Meeting.  With Special Board meetings, the agenda packet will be available on day prior to the meeting.  Board agendas and minutes are available on the District website
