                              Welcome to First Grade

    Ms. Kingsbury's Class

Teaching is a passion of mine! I'm so excited to work with both you and your child this school year. It's going to be a year full of learning, fun, and lots of adventures!

I thought you might like to know a little about me. I have three amazing daughters; Sierra, my oldest is 25 and is in her third year of Veterinary School at UT Knoxville in Tennessee. My middle daughter; Savanna, is 23 years old, and is a cosmetologist in Malibu. My youngest Kambria, is 15 years old and is a Sophmore at Rancho Campana High School. We have a very active 3 old German Shepherd named Aria, along with an adorable Mainecoon cat named Rascal. Some hobbies I enjoy are gardening, reading, decorating, going to the beach, and spending time outdoors.

I was born and raised in Camarillo. I went to Valle Lindo and El Descanso Elemenary Schools, Monte Vista Middle School, and Adolfo Camarillo High School. I received my BA from Fresno State and my teaching credential from Cal Lutheran University.

This will be my sevententh year teaching in the district and my fifth year at our wonderful Dos Caminos School. I love teaching first grade and it is my mission to instill a love of learning in each of my precious students. I attempt to teach all subjects with passion so that my students develop a desire to be life-long learners.

It is so important to keep communication open between us. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns this school year. My email address is jkingsbury@pleasantValleySD.org. You can also write a note in your childs agenda, I look at them daily. I look forward to a great year together!
