    About Me

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and let you all know a little bit about me as the school year begins.  My name is Stephanie Knecht and I teach Math at Monte Vista Middle School.  I have been teaching happily in Pleasant Valley for 15 years now and have been at Monte Vista for 10 of those years!  I was raised in Camarillo and am pleased to be able to now teach in the community I so love.   I earned my Bachelor's degree at California State University of Northridge and my teaching credential from California State University of Channel Islands.

I have a daughter, Alexandra, who was a student at University of California at Berkeley and I am so very proud of her.  She is a very gifted field hockey player and artist.   I also have a son, Joey, who joined the family on February 12, 2014.  Our entire family is very active in the world of field hockey with both my husband, daughter, and son playing as well as coaching ( not the little one of course).  Our family also includes a cat, Gizmo and a snakes, Skelator.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy being outdoors and love to go hiking, swimming, paint balling, and workin gin my garden.  I look forward to getting to know all of you and having a truly amazing year!
