Welcome & Classroom Information

  • Hello. After getting my B.A. from Westmont College I went on to get my California K-8th credential from Cal State University Northridge. I started teaching 21 years ago at the Kindergarten level. After a few years I decided to go back to Cal Lutheran University and get my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Early Childhood. I wanted to become an "expert" in the ages of birth - 2nd grade. In the years that followed I taught a variety of different ages, including teaching in the Education Department at LIFE Pacific College. However, my heart was still in the Early Childhood arena and public education so I began making the move back several years ago, working as a Site Director at a private preschool and obtaining my California Program Director Certificate for Early Childhood. With my experience and my new certificate I was able to return to public education and come to Pleasant Valley School of Engineering and Arts. This is my Fourth year here teaching Pre-Kindergarten and I'm very happy to be here.
