Mrs. Kelly Hatton
Hello, and Welcome to the Las Colinas Middle School,
It is my absolute privilege to be the principal of Las Colinas Middle School. As this is my second year at LCMS, it has been such a joy getting to know everyone and so much fun learning about our school. As a new Mustang, I am completely impressed by the incredible people of this community. With the current challenges we are all facing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I have witnessed the courage, adaptability and strength of this community. This year should prove to be yet another opportunity for all of us to strengthen our resiliency skills and develop in ways we had never imagined.
For those new to our school, I would like to introduce myself. In my 25 years in education, I have been an Elementary Principal, Middle School Assistant Principal, Middle School Dean of Discipline, an elementary, middle school and high school teacher as well as a kindergarten Instructional Aide. Those positions have been held mostly in California, but also in Germany and Japan. My own higher education includes a BA from UCLA, a Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential, a Single Subject Credential in English, an Educational Administration Credential and an MA from CSUN. I absolutely love the world of education, and it is my honor to work with the students and families of LCMS.
Here at Las Colinas, we are dedicated to your children. Our goal is to prepare 21st century learners who are responsible members of our global society. We support students in developing as kind, caring, well-rounded adults who will add to the improvement of our world. Our entire staff is dedicated to making sure every student thrives and succeeds.
If you have any ideas, thoughts, questions or concerns, I am available to meet with you. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
