It is with great enthusiasm and my absolute pleasure to be starting my first year as the Principal of Rancho Rosal. Prior to coming here, I was the Dean of Students for Pleasant Valley School of Engineering and Arts in the Pleasant Valley School District. I look forward to serving the community, students, and staff through a collaborative partnership that aims at achieving academic excellence for all students.

I have been an educator for 17 years, possessing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of Southern California and a Master of Science in Applied Educational Administration from National University. I was a classroom teacher for twelve years, a Teacher on Special Assignment specializing in English Language Development, and a prior principal for four years. I have taught elementary, middle, and high school students.

I am passionate about promoting an environment that maximizes student learning, addresses students social-emotional well-being, encourages leadership and fosters innovative thinking. I am a lifelong learner who strives at continuous professional growth with many years of experience in curriculum and Instruction, positive behavior systems and meeting the needs of English Language Learners and special education students.

I was born and raised in Southern California and recently returned home after living in Northern California for eight years. I am married with three wonderful children: Daniel (22) a student at UC Davis, Tatiana (18)  first-year community college student, and Isaiah (12) an 8th grader in middle school. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and reading a good book.
