    About me

My name is Jeff Turner, and I am the third child out of six. I was born and raised in Goleta where I went to Dos Pueblos High School, spent some time at Santa Barbara City College then got my bachelor's in psychology from UCSB. A few years later my family and I moved to Camarillo and we love it here! I'm happily married to my wife Gayle and we have 2 kids, Noah and Darcy.

I love games! Any kind of game, you name it, I love it! Board games, box games, card games, and video games (especially retro video games, the older the better). I enjoy most sports but I'd rather be playing than watching them. In high school, I played basketball and volleyball and in college I ran cross country. My all time favorite sport is volleyball. I also enjoy trail riding, surfing and wood working. One of my other passions is music. I have several guitars and I enjoy plaing many different styles of music. A few years ago I got back into record collecting and now I have a rather large collection of records and CDs.

I have had many different jobs from working dispatch for the Santa Barbara Airport Patrol all the way to a wholesale flower verndor. In 2020 I began my first year substitute teaching and I found that I really enjoyed it. When the opportunity came to become a full time substitute teacher for a special ed class at Las Colinas I eagerly accepted the offer. This has been such a wonderful experience for me! I love this class! I am now persuing my teaching credential specializing in special education.
