NEW Workshop Series for DCS Parents
Exciting News! Our school has partnered with a group called Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) to facilitate a series of workshops for our families. The content centers around frequently asked topics. Including:
Strategies to build your child's positive self-esteem - Enhance and gain new skills, tools, and resources to help your child succeed in school today and into the future - Tools to navigate the school system - Prepare a college-going plan - Learn about online security - Expand your digital skills for today's online world - Gain new family resources and academic supports - and more!
Dos Caminos School provides a dynamic student-centered environment with an emphasis on Career and College readiness. DCS students are explicitly taught executive functioning skills of organization, goal setting, and self-monitoring steps to success. These are important tools in displaying our DCS Determination.
Building on our storied traditions, the DCS team has worked to create school-wide initiatives that address the whole child and include social emotional learning, inclusion, character building, academic language and development. Our students are artists, athletes, scholars, and environmental stewards.
Our PTA has been instrumental in supporting expanded enrichment for students and volunteerism. Families will find partners in our scholarly ambitions and opportunities to assist in these endeavors.
Inspiring students to reach for the stars to capture their dreams starts at an early age. All students on the Dos Caminos campus - preschool through fifth grade - are part of our college and career - Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID) initiative. Our determination to meet our goals will = our success. Click here to learn more
