  • Enrichment Activities During School Closure

As the community is aware, PVSD schools may be closed for periods of time due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic. In order to ensure that students have opportunity for enrichment during closure, we have developed some optional enrichment activities for students. During this time of closure, there will be no new assignments issued for any courses.  There will be no negative impact to students' grades.

  • Immunization Requirements

    • Starting in the 2019-2020 school year, the following changes will become regulations for school immunizations:

      • Two doses (rather than one) of chickenpox (varicella) vaccine
      • Two MMR doses and three Hepatitis B vaccine doses

These new requirements will affect current 6th-grade students for advancement to 7th grade.  Please check your records and keep this information in mind as doctor's appointments occur during the school year.

    Incoming 7th grade

    • All students entering, advancing or transferring into 7th grade for the 2019-2020 school year and beyond will need proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster immunization (called “Tdap”), a second MMR, and a second Varicella for school entry.
