  • PVSD Update (Distance Learning Webinar, DLA, and Waiver Info) 08/06/2020

    Thank you all for being so engaged as we work together on the start of the 2020-2021 school year. We appreciate your understanding and grace under these extraordinary times. We have three items to update you on this week: Distance Learning, Digital Learning Academy, and the State Waiver Process. We are grateful for your patience, comments, ideas, and support as we navigate this together.

  • Update on Reopening Plan and Approved Calendar (7/31/2020)

    The PVSD School Board approved both the PVSD Safe Reopening and Recovery Plan and the updated 2020-2021 school calendar at last night’s Special Board meeting. I encourage everyone to read the Plan in its entirety, as it is very comprehensive. We have also published the final versions of the executive summaries in English and Spanish. You will find that the task force did an amazing job of creating a comprehensive and community-friendly plan. The Plan includes pertinent information and specific answers to essential questions with the resources used to inform decisions.

  • PVSD Safe Reopening and Recovery Plan (School Board Approved 7/30/2020)

    The PVSD School Board approved our Safe Reopening and Recovery Plan for fall 2020 at the special board meeting held on July 30, 2020. The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Over 100 stakeholders representing parents, teachers, staff, and leadership worked together in partnership to prepare this comprehensive plan in line with local, county, state, and federal guidance. This plan is a "living document" which will adapt to changing guidelines and laws as necessary in order to maintain compliance.

  • PVSD Offers Digital Learning Academy Option for 20-21 School Year

    PVSD’s Digital Learning Academy (DLA) is a program for families who desire to remain in a distance learning format for the duration of the 20-21 school year. The program will mirror the instructional content being offered in the traditional modified model and will be instructed by PVSD teachers. Instruction will be based on the priority standards using the same Board-adopted materials as in the modified traditional model.

  • 2019-2020 Annual Report

    It gives me great honor to present the 2020 PVSD annual report. PVSD’ s vision of Excellence for All is lived every day in our district by our students, teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and community members. The collective responsibility of our community ensures we provide our scholars a world-class education. Included within our report is information about PVSD and our eleven outstanding schools, key performance measures rooted in the goals set in our Strategic Plan, and data for areas we will use to guide future improvement. ~Dr. Ramsey

  • Census 2020: What You Need to Know

    The Census is a count of every person living in the U.S. every 10 years. The count is mandated by Article 1, Section 2, of the U.S. Constitution to ensure residents in every state receive fair representation and resources. The last day to complete the 2020 Census is October 31, 2020.

  • Measure C Fiscal Year 18-19 Annual Report

    The Measure C Citizens' Oversight Committee (COC) respectfully submit the annual report to the residents, voters and taxpayers of the Pleasant Valley School District. This report fulfills the requirement that the School District Board of Trustees form an independent COC, and that this committee report to the public on the proper expenditure of bond funds at least once annually. This report covers expenses in the time frame of September 2018 to June 30, 2019.
