Weekly Update 9/24/2021

PVSD Families,

Thank you for another great week.  We have a reminder and couple of new updates below.  Enjoy the first weekend of fall!

  1. Help Protect the Programs Your Students Love  Please be sure to turn in the Confidential Household Income Survey on goldenrod paper forms sent home for you to complete and return to school as soon as possible. In order to ensure maximum funding for our students and protect our beloved programs, we need every family to complete the forms. District funding levels for programs such as tutoring, intervention, academic enrichment, counseling, and extracurricular activities are determined by household income surveys.
  2. We are Hiring!  Need a job that is flexible and allows you to work around your child’s schedule? Our schools need you! We are hiring for substitute teachers (daily, long-term, and full year positions), campus supervisors, instructional assistants, bus drivers, and more.  For more details please go to  or call 805 389 2100.
  3. Elementary Parent Conferences  The Pleasant Valley School District values our collaboration with families in support of students.  We are pleased to share that TK-3 conferences will be held from October 11th-15th, and conferences for students in grades 4 and 5 will be held from October 11th-October 19th.  We encourage Zoom conferences to reduce the number of contacts entering and exiting schools. The option to meet in-person, possibly outside, is available if Zoom is not feasible. Conferences are limited to 20 minutes to accommodate all students.  Teachers will provide information regarding scheduling.
