Weekly Update 8/12/22

Good afternoon PVSD families,

We are getting eager to greet our students on Wednesday, August 24th

By today you should have received a message from your school principal providing details to the start of the 2022-2023 school year. Each campus is busy preparing for orientations and other ways to welcome our students and families back at events prior to the start of the school year. I hope to see you at these kick-off celebrations. If we cross paths, please introduce yourself as I am excited to meet more families in our PVSD community.

Please see the important updates below including the re-enrollment process which is required for all families prior to the start of school.

Enjoy the weekend.

Dr. Danielle Cortes

Superintendent of Schools

Required Re-Enrollment

One very important task all families must complete is the Re-Enrollment process including Annual Notices and forms prior to the first day of school using Parent Connect. Two important sections in the re-enrollment are the Annual Income Survey and the Education Benefit Form. Completing these forms will help our students with funding for engaging student activities, access to technology, enrichment and intervention learning opportunities, and student wellness.

Please go to your school's website and review the Re-Enrollment and First Day Forms announcement in the District News section for more information. An email has been sent to you with directions on how to log into Parent Connect with a link to directions for how to fill out the forms. In addition, there is a video posted on the Parent Connect page with directions on how to complete the process. Lastly, you can download the Parent Connect app to your smart phone to complete the forms.

Re-Enrollment Office Hours for Families Needing Assistance

If you do not have access to a computer or need assistance, the District will host Re Enrollment Office Hours at District Office at 600 Temple Avenue August 16th, 4:30-6:30 pm and August 18th, 6:30–8:30 am.

It is strongly recommended that you wear a mask to the office hours.

If you are moving out of the district over the summer and want to continue with PVSD in person or through our Digital Learning Academy please contact Martha Vazquez at or 805 389 2100 for enrollment information. Yes, you can continue in the PVSD brand of schools in much of southern California including grades 9-12!

If you are moving within PVSD boundaries, please contact Martha Vazquez at or 805 389 2100 to discuss your options.

If you will be leaving PVSD entirely, please be sure to fill out the Request to Un-enroll Form to ensure that records are delivered to your new school as efficiently as possible.
